John F. Welch Technology Centre, GE Global Research, Bangalore, INDIA

Estimation of effects of electrodynamic forces produced due to current interactions in contactor. Analysed current paths in contactor and developed digital tool to determine the magnitude of the force produced. Worked on design changes to improve performance, which were implemented and are reviewed for patent.

National Institute of Oceanography, Goa, INDIA
(May 04 – June 04)
Constructed microcontrollers based system to monitor the parameters of motors used in fins and rudders of the shallow water Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) “MAYA”. Designed complete safety mechanism for the AUV and constructed a powerless rescue system which is due for patent.

  • Undergraduate Project: Modeling, analysis and verification of VLSI circuits. (July 05 – Present)
Project includes designing the logic, the VLSI implementation of circuit, analysis of the
VLSI circuit for optimization of various parameters such as time delay, power, speed and
verification of the circuit.
  • Simulation of 8085 Microprocessor for a virtual development kit. (Jan 05 – May 05)
  • Design, analysis and control of a Variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) controller using power electronic devices.(Dec 04 - May 05)
  • Reconstruction of electric car and its development into an Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV). (Jul 04 – Dec 04)
  • Construction of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV).(Sep 03 – Apr 04)
  • Fault diagnosis and programming of HMT T-70 CNC Machine.(March 03)
  • Construction of Variable chain driven system selected for KVPY scholarship. (Jul 03 – Sep 03)
